Western Oregon University was founded in 1856 making the oldest institution in the Oregon University system. WOU's student body consists of approximately 4,500 undergraduates and 400 graduates who enjoy the picturesque traditional, yet state-of-the-art campus. WOU's Liberal Arts and Sciences programs enroll nearly two-thirds of the student body and is emerging as one the top comprehensive public Liberal Arts institutions.
