In The School of Medical Transcription, you'll "learn by listening." First, we'll teach you basic medical procedures and terminology. You'll prepare 38 medical reports: transcriptions from realistic, audio-taped notes of the actual cases of ten patients. These cases give you a "real world" look at the reporting of diagnoses, treatments, prescriptions, and other aspects of care for a variety of medical situations. You'll learn the transcription techniques that are applicable in doctors' and dentists' offices, clinics, hospitals, and transcription services. There are no educational prerequisites and no experience requirements to enroll.
